Rubio, the Latin word for rosso, refers to the deep colour of this wine.
It is produced only with pure Sangiovese and aged for 10 to 12 months in oak casks of 30/60 hectolitres.
This results in an excellent Indicazione Geografica Tipica Tuscan red wine, full, austere and velvety.
Annual production is around 30,000 0.75 litre bottles.
